To perform a scan first without creating a scan request:
Select the patient record in the patients list or open a patient record in the patient module.
Click Capture on the action pane or
on the top menu bar in the patient module.
Hover over a device tile and click Select.
Select which data you want to acquire with the chosen device.
Notes
Hover over an image acquisition device that is in use and click Release to attempt undoing a device reservation.
Click to filter on the modality type.
Busy devices are marked by an hourglass. The Select action is disabled until the device becomes available.
The applicable modalities for every image acquisition device are shown at the bottom of the device tile.
Intraoral sensors that are directly connected to your computer via USB are indicated with the Connected icon.
If the connection to DTX Studio™ Core or to the image acquisition device is lost, a window will be shown where you try to re-establish the connection by clicking Reconnect or to close the scan module by clicking Close scan.
For a (CB)CT scanner a scout image can be made before starting the actual scan. The scout image is saved on the Patient data tab of the patient record.
Upon importing or acquiring a 2D image, level and window values are automatically set. To disable this, go to the Image settings tab in the DTX Studio™ Clinic settings or patient module preferences. In the top-right drop-down menu, select OPG, Intraoral or Ceph. Deselect Auto level window. Enter custom level and window values. Click OK.
Continue the acquisition process for your device.
Notes
Use multiple sensors with different sensor sizes by plugging them in or out during the capture wizard. The used sensor is shown in the top-right corner.
If multiple sensors are plugged in, the + symbol appears. All sensors which are connected and active, are ready to acquire the scan. X-ray triggers the image acquisition.
Acquire images with a template ( see guided acquisition) or without a template (see free acquisition).
If you acquire with an intraoral camera: the guided acquisition invites you to select the teeth you want to acquire.
Select the teeth you want to acquire.
Click Start.
Note

The defaults are set in the device settings that are accessible via the notification area.
Disable or enable the acquisition helper for a KaVo DIAGNOcam Vision Full HD device by selecting Disable acquisition helper or Enable acquisition helper . The acquisition helper comes in the form of green or orange edges on the viewer, indicating good or bad exposure.
