Intraoral Scanning
3Shape TRIOS® Scanner
To acquire intraoral scan data with a 3Shape TRIOS® Scanner
Start the scan in the 3Shape Dental Desktop application.

Complete the scanning process.
The image is added to the Patient data tab on the patient detail panel.
The finished scan request is marked with a checkmark.
Click Open diagnose to start a new diagnosis in the patient module.
KaVo and Medit Scanners
The scan module* (for Windows only), which can be started from the immediate scan workflow, allows you to use a supported Medit / KaVo intraoral scanner with DTX Studio™ Clinic and to reopen existing scan cases.
Acquire Intraoral Scan Data
Select the patient record in the patients list.
Click Capture 
.
Select the intraoral scanner and click Select.
The scan module* is opened.
Follow the instructions.
The processed data is added to the patient record.
Reopen a Scan Case
Intraoral scan data that was locally captured can be reopened in the scan module*.
Note
This is only possible on the computer used to acquire the scan data.
To reopen the scan module* to edit the scan, take additional scans, trim, measure and more:
In a patient record, click the dental scan tile.
Click Open in Medit Scan.
*For Windows computers only and on the computer which has been used for acquiring the intraoral scan data. A PRO IOS license type or a subscription to the Plus+ feature Medit Scan integration is required.
