Manage Workspaces

A workspace can be considered as the arrangement of 3D and 2D viewers. A workspace allows you to visualize and interact with 3D objects and/or 2D image data.

Workspaces only appear on the workspace bar if associated data is added to the diagnosis.

To set which workspace will be shown by default when opening the Clinic module, see Preferences.

Customize Workspaces (SmartLayout)

Customize workspaces with SmartLayout™:

To add another viewer to the workspace, click a tile on the Layout smart panel. The added viewer is indicated on the smart panel with a green border. To remove a viewer from the workspace, click the tile again.

To rearrange the workspace layout or to change the viewer proportions, drag one of the window splitters (⋮). The last position of the splitters is saved, so the next time you open this workspace, it will be shown in the same way.

To save the workspace layout, click More options … next to the workspace title and select Save workspace layout. This layout is set as default layout for new patient diagnoses. To restore the default workspace layout, click More options … and select Reset workspace.

To sort the other images on the Layout smart panel by modality, date or to have selected tiles appear first, click the Sort by drop-down menu and select either Modality, Date or Selected first.

To close a viewer, click on the top-left window title. Select Close viewer. Alternatively, press [Q].

Notes

SmartLayout is available for all the workspaces, except for the clinical pictures, intraoral pictures, intraoral RX and TMJ workspaces.

SmartFocus allows you to display all related tooth information for a selected tooth.
