Tools

The toolbar provides you with tools to diagnose, measure, plan treatments and edit the scan data. Not all the tools will be available in all the workspaces. Unavailable tools are grayed out. 

Warning

Measurement accuracy depends on the image data, the used scanner hardware, its calibration and acquisition settings. The measurement cannot be more precise than the resolution of the image. DTX Studio Clinic software reports the value, rounded to one digit after the decimal point, based on user-picked points.

Diagnose
	Set the slice thickness of a 3D reslice viewer. *
	Adapt brightness and contrast.
	Magnify an area or apply filters to a specific area only.
	Inspect the underlying reslice when clicking on a 3D model.
	Capture a screenshot.
	Add a finding to the SmartPanel Findings tab.
	Add a finding to the SmartPanel Findings tab.
	Analyse the airway.
	Indicate a nerve canal.
	Draw a custom reslice line.
	Define the root morphology.

Annotate
	Add text.
	Draw segmented lines with the pen.
	Draw free-form lines with the pencil.
	Draw a circle.
	Draw an arrow.
	Select the line thickness for an annotation.

Measure
	Measure the HU value of a point. *
	Measure a linear distance.
	Measure segments.
	Measure an angle.

Plan
	Place an implant. This tool can be used in any workspace that contains (CB)CT data.
	Manage which implants can be placed.
	Add another implant plan. Once completed, switch between implant plans via the SmartPanel Implant plan tab.

3D X-ray
	MagicAssist
	Edit the orientation of the patient model. *
	Adjust the OPG/PAN curve. *
	Define the TMJ area. *
	Calibrate the tooth positions. *
	Adjust the bone threshold. *
	Use volume masking to clean up the patient model by cutting out redundant parts.
	Generate an OPG/PAN.
	Generate 3D cephs. *

IO scan
	Automatically set up IO scans.
	Align or realign an IO scan with the 3D X-ray. *
	Fill the holes** of all jaw scans and diagnostic scans currently visible in the IO Scan workspace.
	Compare IO scans to follow up on gingival recession, tooth wear and other differences.
	Calculate virtual teeth.

The annotations are shown on the SmartPanel Annotation tab .

Changing the Color of an Annotation

To change the color of an annotation:

On the Annotation tab  of the SmartPanel, select the annotation and click .

Note

For a calibration annotation this option is not available.

Select Edit color.

Select a color and click OK.

Deleting an Annotation

To delete an annotation:

Alternatively, select the annotation object on the image viewer, and press the Delete key.
