The creation of a patient model is prerequisite to 3D planning. Based on the data imported into the system and the settings made by the user, the 3D patient model is generated. The model helps navigate through the 3D image volume and to provide an overview. The patient model does not influence the fit of the surgical template. Creating a model is independent of the visualization of the CT gray value data.
