Patient Record

Select a patient record in the patient icon patient list to see its details in the right pane.

Use the buttons on the action pane at the top for the following actions:

Open patient

Open the Clinic module.

Tip

You can also open the Clinic module by double-clicking a patient name in the patient list.

scan request icon
Scan request

Schedule a scan for this patient.

Note

This tab is only available if DTX Studio Home has been installed together with DTX Studio Core.

capture icon
Capture
Acquire a scan for this patient right away.
Third-party application icon Open a third-party application.
Share icon
Collaborate

Share patient information and data with a lab, referral dentist, surgeon or any other connection or collaborate with service providers.*

Order a surgery plan, surgical template or restoration.

*This feature is only available if enabled for the license.

Patient Data

On the Patient data tab of the details pane, every available data is represented by a thumbnail preview image and its acquisition date and time. '(#)' indicates how many images are stored for this patient.

Add compatible file types or images to the patient record by dragging and dropping them on the patient data field. Indicate the type. Click Import.

To filter the patient data on acquisition date, data type or per study, click and choose one of the options.

Click grid view icon to view the image data in grid view. If all the data is captured with scan workflows or capture templates, the data are visualized per template type.

Click menu icon to view the image data per acquisition date.

The DTX Studio Core image data not yet downloaded to your computer will appear as gray tiles.

Data Viewer

For 2D images and intraoral scans, click the thumbnail tile or hover over the tile and click maximize icon to open the data viewer. Use the following options:

or Navigate to the next or the previous 2D image or intraoral scan on the patient data tab.
Close the data viewer.
2D Images

For 2D images, you can use the same navigation shortcuts as in the Clinic module.

rotate left or rotate right Rotate the image.
reset zoom Reset the zoom.
level window

Temporarily adjust brightness and contrast by dragging on the viewer. Right-click to finish.

Note

The values are saved on DTX Studio Core

Open patient diagnose icon To view the 2D image in the Clinic module. The most recent diagnosis that contains the image will be opened. If no diagnoses are available with that image, the image is added to the most recent diagnosis.
ellipsis Choose to change the modality, reassign the selected media to a different patient record, or delete the image.
Intraoral Scans
reset view Reset the view.
Open in Medit Scan To reopen the intraoral scan in the scan module.
Open patient diagnose icon To view the intraoral scan in the Clinic module.
ellipsis To delete the scan.

For 3D data, hover the thumbnail tile, click ellipsis and select Open to view the data in the Clinic module.

Image and Data Administration

Changing the Modality

If you accidentally imported an image with an incorrect modality (a cephalogram, an OPG/PAN or an intraoral X-ray image):

Hover over the thumbnail, click ellipsis and select Change modality.

Select the correct modality from the drop-down list and click Change modality.

Note

A message is shown when the image is already linked to a diagnosis to warn you that annotated measurements on the image will be removed.

Reassigning 2D Images or (CB)CT Scans to Another Patient Record

If you accidentally acquired or imported 2D images or (CB)CT scans for the wrong patient:

Click More more icon and select Reassign data. Alternatively, hover over the thumbnail, click ellipsis and select Reassign.

Enter (a part of) the patient name and select it in the drop-down list.

Select the images that you want to reassign.

Click Reassign.

If the images are part of a study, indicate whether or not to reassign the selection or the entire study by clicking Reassign selection or Reassign study.

The images will be moved to the selected patient record.

Deleting Images and Files

To delete images or files, hover over a thumbnail, click ellipsis and select Delete.

Note

A message is shown when the image is already linked to a diagnosis to warn you that annotates, measurements and planned implants will be lost.

Scan Requests

The scan requests for the patient are listed on the Scan requests tab. '(#)' indicates how many scan requests are stored for this patient. This tab is only available if DTX Studio Clinic has been installed together with DTX Studio Core.
