DTX Studio™ Core is a software solution to store and retrieve patient media and image data types (2D X-ray, 3D (CB)CT X-ray, dental optical scans, photos) in a structured and centralized way, so that stored data is immediately accessible anywhere in the dental clinic.
If connected with DTX Studio Core, DTX Studio Clinic can be used in a network environment to acquire images from other supported Ethernet-connected and 3Shape TRIOS® devices.
A connection with DTX Studio Core needs to be established to work with network devices, scan requests and to access radiographic reports.
To establish a connection with DTX Studio Core:
In DTX Studio Home click Menu.
Click Settings.
Click DTX Studio Core.
Enter the URL (web address) for Core.
Note
The URL should look like https://server:port number.
To protect your data, it is recommended to establish a secure connection, and thus to use https instead of http. Should you try to connect to DTX Studio Core through https while an SSL certificate has not yet been installed on your computer, a warning is displayed with an option to download and install the certificate. For installing the certificate, you need administrator rights on your computer.
Click Connect to send a connection request to DTX Studio Core.
Note
The DTX Studio Core page can be opened by clicking the link on this window.
Once the request has been approved in DTX Studio Core, DTX Studio Clinic is connected.
Notes
— If you connected to DTX Studio Core with a DTX Studio Clinic version before 4.3.10, you will not have to send a connection request and the connection will be set up automatically.
— Also when reconnecting after disconnecting, the connection request will be approved automatically.
— DTX Studio Clinic 4.3.10 requires at least DTX Studio Core 4.0. When upgrading, DTX Studio Core needs to be upgraded before the DTX Studio Clinic clients are upgraded.
