Store a patient file online

When storing a patient file online, a patient file on your local computer is placed online, but only becomes visible to DTX Studio™ Implant accounts sharing the same NobelConnect ID. This data transfer is communicated to NobelConnect in a secure way using encryption and authentication protocols.

In a Practice setup only: if the patient file is shared with the practice, you will need to store it privately before you can upload the record.

A patient file is stored online on NobelConnect and made available to DTX Studio™ Implant installations with the same NobelConnect ID with the following procedure:

1.       Click one of the items in the Patients group on the My Office menu bar to filter the list of patients. Choose between:

     All Patients 01_Patients_16x16.png

     My Patients

Stored locally (Single user setup) or Stored Privately (Practice setup)

2.     Select a locally or privately stored patient file 01_Patients_16x16.png from the filtered list.

3.     Choose Place Online  in the toolbar.

4.     While the patient file is uploaded to the server, a progress bar keeps you posted on the upload progress.

5.     When finished, the icon changes into the Online Patient icon .

Note

To cancel the store online action, click Cancel. The patient file will be locally or privately stored, provided that the Internet connection is still available.

If the user logs out while uploading (or downloading) more than one patient file at the same time, the queued files are uploaded, but not closed. They will not be available online until the user logs in again.

When the software is closed during an upload or download action, the action is paused until the software is started again. The upload or download will continue, provided that an Internet connection is available.
