Share an online patient file in order to make it visible to a selected colleague from your treatment team or outside the practice when in a practice setup. This colleague will be able to view the patient record, and propose changes to the treatment plan.
To share a patient file:
1. Click one of the items in the Patients group on the My Office menu bar to filter the list of patient files. Choose between:
— All Patients
— My Patients
— Stored locally (Single user setup) or Stored Privately (Practice setup)
2. Select an online patient file from the filtered list.
3. Click Share in the NobelConnect group on the Medical Records tab.
4. The Share Patient dialog pops up.
5. Select the addressee from the left Contacts column.
6. Click Add to copy the contact to the To column.
7. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all the contacts you need are included.
Note
If you want to remove an addressee again, select the entry from the To column and click Remove.
8. Click Share.
9. A Legal Disclaimer dialog pops up. Click I Agree to accept the terms and conditions.
10. In the list the patient file will be indicated with a Shared Patient icon .
To make a patient file anonymous for sharing, select the Anonymize for sharing option in the Sharing options box on the Share Patient dialog.
Note
— The patient file is only anonymous for collaborators. All details are still visible for the treating clinician.
— Images in the Patient Library of a shared anonymous patient file will be shown as plain tiles on the collaborator's computer as a sign that images are included, but that they have been made anonymous.
Communicate a treatment plan to a referring dentist
Planning a patient on different locations
