When finishing the Create a surgical template wizard, a tooltip will appear to invite you to Generate a high-resolution template.
Alternatively, hover over the low-resolution surgical template on the Implant plan smart panel, and click Generate template.
Or, hover over the low-resolution surgical template on the Implant plan smart panel, click the arrow to go to the details of the surgical template. Then click
and choose Generate template.
Note
Collision warnings for the implants included in the template range are shown on top of the wizard.
The system will check whether you have a special license or a subscription to the Plus+ feature for creating templates. If not, a message dialog will offer you a link to DTX Studio Go to subscribe. If you do have a special license or subscription, proceed to the next step.
Choose the preferred settings to generate the surgical template.
Note
Click the question mark to open a help window for an explanation of the settings. The ideal settings depend on the surgical guide resin, brand, size of the guide sleeves, 3D printer and many other conditions. To ensure an optimal end-result, make sure that all the components' requirements are met.
Offset IO scan: Distance between the IO scan and the surgical template.
Sleeve radial offset: Distance between the metal guide sleeve and the printed material.
Thickness: Surgical template thickness.

To reset these settings, click Default values.
Select Export to directory to export the high-resolution template and related reports. The export location can be set in the Home settings.
Select Anonymize patient to anonymize the template and the related reports.
Click Next.
Select I have read and agree to all of the above to confirm you have checked and accepted the terms and conditions.
Click Generate.
An order overview including the price is shown. To continue, click Place order. Other options are to Cancel or to go Back to the previous step.
The surgical template and instruction documents are generated and added to the patient record. The high-resolution template is shown in the scene. Check thoroughly before printing.
To recalculate the surgical template with other printer settings, click and select Regenerate template. This recalculation is free of charge.
