Make sure you are connected to DTX Studio Core.
To request a scan or to initiate a scan workflow with multiple scan protocols:
Select the patient record in the patients list .
Click Scan request .
If more than one device is connected, hover over a device tile and click Select.
Notes
Click to filter on the modality type.
Devices that are in use are marked by an hourglass.
Offline devices are grayed out.
Optionally, initiate a scan workflow with multiple scan protocols: click QuickPrescribe. Hover over an available scan workflow and click Create scan requests. Continue with step 7.
Fill out the applicable information in the scan request form.
Note
The temporomandibular joint can also be selected.
Depending on the chosen modality or device, the form options will differ.
If the image acquisition device allows multiple modalities, select the required modalities: 3D, CEPH (Cephalogram), OPG/PAN, IOXRAY (2D intraoral scan), IOS (3D intraoral scan) and/or IOCAM (intraoral photo) in the sidebar. If applicable, select an imaging program.
If needed, select on the tooth chart which regions should be scanned.
Enter the Scan date. Enter the Requesting clinician. By default, the logged-in user is filled in automatically in this field.
Select Sinus if the sinus needs to be scanned.
Select an image acquisition resolution if applicable.
If the selected device is an intraoral device, select a Template, and specify the Imaging program.
If needed, add Request notes for the operator.

Required fields are marked with a red asterisk.
If everything is fine, click Create scan request(s). To select another device, click Back.
A scan request card is added to the Scan requests tab on the patient detail panel and the scan requests list.
To initiate the scan, click Start on the scan request card.
