Performing a Scheduled Scan

To perform a scan for a scan request:

Click Start on the scan request card in the patient detail panel. Alternatively, select the scan request in the scan requests list patients icon, and click Start.

On the scan request card, a colored dot indicates the device status:

green dot Online
orange dot In use
red dot Offline

If a specific image acquisition device was selected and the device is not available, a warning message is shown. Click Change device to select another device. Click Release to attempt undoing a device reservation by another user.

If more than one device is connected, hover over a device tile and click Select.

Click Start.

Follow the instructions.

Notes

For an OP 3D Pro device, the device's user interface is displayed in the DTX Studio Clinic software on the right pane.

For a 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanner device, the scan must be acquired in the 3Shape Dental Desktop application. When the scan is completed, go to step 4. For more information on how to integrate a 3Shape intraoral scanner device, see the DTX Studio Core Quick Guide.

When the scanning is finished, click Finish to end the action, or click Open Diagnose to open the patient record in DTX Studio Clinic.

The captured data is added to the Patient data tab on the patient detail panel and to the relevant DTX Studio Clinic workspace. The finished scan request is marked with a checkmark check mark
