The product selection window consists of four main components:
— Manufacturers section
— Implant products section
— Compatible standard abutments section
— Tooth position with tooth chart
Expand or collapse these sections by clicking the section headers.
This section shows which manufacturer's products can be included into the DTX Studio™ Implant software.
Click the manufacturer's logo to show the corresponding products. When the logos are grayed out, the products are available for download but not installed yet.
To install non-installed products, refer to the How to install products section.
The implant products section is divided into three main parts:
— A filter pane allowing for selection of various parameters (e.g. connection type, drilling protocol or implant collar).
— The product overview showing all available products.
— A product details pane.
To successfully select the implant you want to place, select the correct implant type. The available properties of the selected implant type are listed in the product details pane. Depending on the brand, various properties are available. For example for Nobel Biocare implants:
— Platform: A list with the platform sizes.
— Diameter: A list with all implant diameters.
— Length: A list with the implant length.
The selected properties are highlighted in the details pane in blue.
When an implant is not available, is outdated, or is not appropriate for guided surgery, a warning is displayed to inform you that it is not possible to create a surgical template with the chosen product.
When an outdated product is selected, the title bar of the implant products section is colored red.
Use the Surgery Type tab to set the appropriate surgery type for the selected implant.
For more information on how to set surgery types and when the different surgery types should be used, refer to the surgery types section.
To display the abutments selection pane, click the corresponding Compatible Standard Abutments section. Abutments can be filtered and the details of a selected abutment are shown in the details pane.
The tooth chart on the Tooth Position tab on the Product Selection window allows you to check and, if necessary, adjust the estimated tooth position an implant is assigned to. The tooth numbering used on this tooth chart corresponds with the setting in the general preferences.
The dark numbers are available positions. The disabled numbers, displayed in lighter gray, are positions an assigned implant.
The dotted line in the center of the tooth chart is the midline, a medial line vertically dividing the jaw in two equal parts.
Notes
— When opening a patient file which was created in an older version of DTX Studio™ Implant, the patient data will be converted and the tooth positions are calculated for each unassigned implant following the reslice curve.
— If the incorrect jaw is shown (upper instead of lower jaw or vice versa), indicate the correct jaw type in the Edit patient wizard.
