Virtually subtract all teeth

When teeth are annotated, virtually 'subtract' them from the patient model to enhance the visualization of the model and to obtain a pure patient model, containing bone structures and independent teeth models.

1.       Make sure all teeth that need to be 'subtracted' are annotated.

2.     Click Subtract Teeth in the Patient Editor group on the Prepare toolbar. The Subtract Teeth icon will only be enabled when teeth have been annotated.

3.     If necessary, correct or modify the patient model with the Patient Mask or the Erase Bone Artifacts actions.

Notes

The subtracted teeth will also be removed from the Patient Mask.

If new teeth annotations are added or when teeth are edited after a subtraction, execute the Subtract action again to apply it to the newly added or edited teeth as well.
