What to do when the calibration procedure fails?

If the calibration procedure is unsuccessful, an error message pops up. Different situations can cause such a failure.

Part of the calibration object is missing

If part of the calibration object does not appear on the scan or the images are unclear, it would be better to make a new scan of the calibration object. Afterwards try the calibration procedure again.

Other objects appear on the scans

Sometimes other objects appear on the scans outside the calibration object (e.g. the scanner plate on which the calibration object was mounted). These will be misinterpreted during the calibration procedure. To resolve this problem, it is possible to crop the DICOM range to make sure they will be excluded from the calibration procedure.

Caution

This cropping procedure is for advanced users only.
