Share a viewer file

Note

If the Share viewer after finishing option was selected during the creation of the viewer file, the Select Contacts dialog is shown immediately. In this case skip the first two steps of this procedure.

To share a viewer file:

1.       In the Discuss module, select a created viewer file from the Communication Items list.

2.     Click Share create report button.png in the Viewer group on the Communication tab.

3.     In the Select Contacts dialog, enter the e-mail address(es) in the To field.

Tip

Eter the contact(s) by selecting name(s) in the Select Recipients dialog which appears when clicking Contacts. This will display the contacts you have sent a viewer file to before.

4.     Add a message (optional). This message will appear in the mail.

5.     Click Share.

6.     The viewer file is stored on the server and an e-mail is sent to the addressee(s) to inform them that the viewer file is available for download. During the upload, the viewer file in the Communication Items list has a dedicated icon and a progress bar is shown. When the uploading is completed, the icon changes to .

Tip

     The progress of the upload can also be viewed through the Upload center.

     If a viewer file was previously shared, it can subsequently be shared with other people. To do so, select the shared viewer file again, type in the additional recipients, and click Share.
