To inspect intraoral images on a layout, for inspecting e.g., a Full Mouth X-ray (FMX) series, click Intraoral RX on the workspace bar.
Note
This workspace is only available if intraoral images are added to the diagnosis.
This workspace consists of placeholders for viewing the intraoral images for this patient, and a thumbnail bar at the bottom.
Customize the workspace with SmartLayout.
Focus on one tooth with SmartFocus.
If the intraoral images have been acquired with DTX Studio Clinic and if the loaded tooth range matches the placeholder range, the images are automatically shown on the correct placeholder.
The thumbnail bar contains all the images that are loaded and not shown in the workspace placeholders. The images are sorted by creation date.
To sort and mount the intraoral images that have not yet been sorted automatically, click Sort .
To manually add an intraoral image to the workspace, drag an image from the thumbnail bar and drop the image on a placeholder.
If the placeholder already contains an image, the images are stacked. The most recent image is on top. Click to see all the images in the stack.
To add more intraoral images to the thumbnail bar, click Data. Then select
Capture, or
Import 2D images.
Note
When exporting the intraoral images in DICOM format, the set tooth range is saved inside the DICOM file, so the tooth numbers are recognized by third-party applications.
To change the intraoral placeholder arrangement or to only show media captured per template (study), click Intraoral (Template Name) in the top-left corner. Make sure View by date is selected. Then select
All templates, and one of the template options.
To only show media captured per template, select View by template. By default, the most recent study is selected. Use the
arrow keys to navigate between studies.
To add the selected template to your favorites, choose Add current template to favorites. This template will then be listed directly in the
viewer menu. Cycle through your favorite templates by clicking the right and left arrows on the workspace. The favorite templates can be shared via the settings. To remove the selected template from the favorites list, choose
Remove current template from favorites in the
viewer menu.
Alternatively, set the default templates in the Image settings preferences and use the keyboard shortcuts below:
Keyboard Shortcut | Action |
[Shift+Ctrl+F] or [Shift+Cmd+F] | Change layout to default intraoral workspace template. |
[Shift+Ctrl+C] or [Shift+Cmd+C] | Change layout to default capturing template. |
[Shift+Ctrl+B] or [Shift+Cmd+B] | Change layout to vertical bitewing template. |
Every placeholder is linked to certain tooth positions, so if you change the layout, the images linked to the corresponding tooth numbers will appear on the right spot.
To visualize a particular set of intraoral images, select an acquisition date from the All acquisition dates list in the top-right corner of the workspace.
Double-click an intraoral picture to inspect it in detail: add measurements and annotations, apply brightness and contrast and image filters.
Switch to another image by clicking on a thumbnail on the minimap in the overview on the smart panel Layout tab. Alternatively, use the
arrow keys, or the
buttons.
Multiple images can be stacked in the same placeholder. Click to show all the images and click
to compare them.
To return to the initial overview, double-click the image again, or press Esc, or click .
