Finalizing a Surgical Template

Approving in DTX Studio Clinic

Prepare the surgical template.

In the Implant workspace, Click the Implant plan tab.

Hover over the surgical template tile and select Approve.

Enter an ID. Click Next.

Read the agreement carefully. To accept, click I have read and agree to all of the above.

Click Approve.

Save the patient record and close DTX Studio Clinic.

Calculating in DTX Studio Home

In DTX Studio Home, select the patient record in the patients list.

Click More .

Click Surgical template .

Select a surgical template, if applicable.

Choose the preferred print settings.

Note

The ideal settings depend on the surgical guide resin, brand, size of the guide sleeves, 3D printer and many other conditions. To ensure an optimal end-result, make sure that all the components' requirements are met.

Offset IO scan: Distance between the IO scan and the surgical template.

Sleeve radial offset: Distance between the metal guide sleeve and the printed material.

Thickness: Surgical template thickness.

Click Calculate.

Click Indicate ID to add a label to the surgical template model for further identification once printed.

Right-click to confirm.

Press Finish.

The surgical template model and instruction documents are added to the patient record.

Inspect the model and make any changes, if needed, by reopening the patient record in DTX Studio Clinic and unlocking or duplicating the template.
