Once an implant plan has been finalized, the NobelGuide® for production at Nobel Biocare can be prepared.
Note
To be able to create a NobelGuide, the intraoral scan needs to be automatically aligned with the 3D X-ray.
To create a NobelGuide for a completed implant plan:
Go to the Implant workspace.
Click Plan on the menu bar.
Click NobelGuide.
Notes
If the initial position of the implants is calculated by the software, and if there were no adjustments to the implant positions, a prompt will appear, asking if you would like to adjust the implant positions or continue without changes.
If there are collisions between sleeves, you may receive a warning message in the scene before starting the NobelGuide wizard. You will need to resolve these collisions first. For these collision warnings, different zones in the scene are used compared to the warnings shown at the top of the NobelGuide wizard. Therefore, it is possible that an error is displayed when you start the NobelGuide wizard, even if this warning does not appear in the scene.
If needed, adjust the NobelGuide range by indicating the tooth positions, and set the correct sleeve type per item.
Note
A message will pop up if the sleeves in the implant plan are not supported for the NobelGuide. Either click Replace sleeves and let the system choose supported sleeves, or click Cancel and go back to select other or no sleeves. To create a NobelGuide, at least one sleeve needs to be included.
Choose whether or not to include the planned anchor pins.
Click Next.
Verify whether the correct implants and sleeves are included in the NobelGuide. By default, the option to show the order dialog when finishing the wizard is selected.
Note
The viewer only shows a simulation of the NobelGuide. The printed NobelGuide might differ.
Click Finish.
The NobelGuide is shown in the scene. A tooltip will invite you to order the NobelGuide.
Notes
The bright yellow color in the scene indicates this is a NobelGuide that has not yet been ordered.
The implants and anchor pins that are included in the surgical template are immediately locked.
