Tools Preferences
Spotlight
To set the default behavior of the Spotlight tool:
In the Clinic module, click 
.
Click Preferences.
Click Tools.
Select the Spotlight mode:
Magnifying glass: To magnify a specific image area.
Image filter glass (default): To apply a filter to a specific image area.
Click OK.
Instruction Messages
By default, instructions (e.g., Press spacebar to activate SmartFocus) are shown on each workspace.
To show or hide them:
In the Clinic module, click .
Click Preferences.
Click Tools.
Select or deselect Show help messages and instructions.
Click OK.
Focus Areas
Not all detected focus area types may be relevant for you. To set which focus areas will be shown by default on the images:
In the Clinic module, click .
Click Preferences.
Click Tools.
Deselect the types of focus ares that should not be displayed on the images.
Although the default visibility of focus areas can be set to hidden, all focus areas are detected, hence an indication of the total number of detected focus areas is shown on the images. The hidden focus areas are listed on the smart panel Visibility tab.
