Share Settings

Create or import a settings file containing set preferences. This may be useful when exporting settings to a new installation, sharing settings with other DTX Studio Clinic users, or making a backup.

Some settings cannot be exported because they are different on other workstations: possibly unique folder paths, hardware-specific settings (e.g. hardware-accelerated rendering), TWAIN devices and more.

The following data can be shared and imported:

Custom guided acquisition templates with a specific image acquisition order for the guided acquisition workflow of intraoral X-ray images (intraoral sensors or PSP devices). This template is saved on the workstation.

DTX Studio Home settings and Clinic module preferences.

The following user-specific settings are not included in the exported settings file. However, on the same workstation, they are saved for each DTX Studio Clinic user individually.

DTX Studio Home settings:

Category Setting
Export Screenshots location
MagicAssist 3D data detection

Clinic module preferences:

Category Setting
General Recent images: number of days
Right-click behavior

If the settings file is uploaded to DTX Studio Core, it will automatically be retrieved by all the DTX Studio Clinic clients on their next startup (or after 4 hours). The shared settings will be applied on the second DTX Studio Clinic startup. To avoid a second startup, you can manually import the settings file: see below.
