Trace Nerve

The nerve canal can be traced on any viewer of the 3D data, but it is recommended to use the 3D panoramic workspace in single-slice mode. The offset view is only available for the 3D panoramic viewer in single-slice mode.

Nerve canals are automatically traced if MagicAssist is enabled.

To manually trace a nerve canal:

Click to place the first anchor point.

Point by point indicate the nerve canal.

Adjust the nerve annotation by moving the anchor points on the viewer.

Drag the gray slider at the right to scroll through the different offset views.

Right-click to finish.

The nerve annotation is added to the Annotation tab.

Note

When recalculating mandibular nerve canals with MagicAssist, manually adjusted nerve canals remain unchanged.

Edit the Nerve Canals

On the Visibility smart panel, hover over a nerve annotation and click More options ….

To change the anchor point's diameter, move the Diameter slider.

To edit the color, click Edit color and select another color.

To delete the annotation, click Delete. Alternatively, press the Delete key.
