Import Face Scan

When face scans are included in a surgery plan, they are imported as well. To import face scans directly in the Clinic module:

In the patient menu, click Import and select Face scan.

Select a face scan to import.

Notes

If the face scan is imported in the OBJ file format without the accompanying PNG texture file, it will be displayed without texture.

When importing a face scan in PLY format, do not rename the associated PNG texture file. The PLY face scan file contains a reference to the PNG file name. If the PNG file name is changed, the software cannot associate the texture file with the face scan.

Click Open.

The system will automatically import the face scan with optimal brightness and contrast values. If needed, adjust the Brightness and Contrast.

Click Done.

The face scan is added to the IO models workspace, allowing you to adjust the visualization on the Viewer smart panel. Two visualization options are available:

Natural (default): Displays the face scan in its natural appearance.

Plain: Displays the face scan with a plain color. The default color for the plain visualization is beige. However, this color can be changed by right-clicking on the face scan model in the scene, selecting Edit color, and then selecting the desired color from the available options.
