On the first page of the wizard, missing teeth are selected by default.
Note
To manually adjust the detected scan range, click Edit upper scan range or Edit lower scan range (depending on the setup) by using the white handles on the tooth chart. Click Save.
To add or remove teeth virtually:
Indicate the tooth positions that you want to modify.
To simultaneously extract and create a tooth, click an existing tooth position.
To just extract a tooth or create a virtual tooth, right-click a tooth to select the Create tooth or Extract tooth action.
Click Next.
Check if all teeth are correctly indicated. If needed, click Indicate teeth manually to correct the tooth positions. If both the upper and lower jaw are included, re-click Next to check the teeth on the opposite jaw.
Note
If the jaw scans are not in occlusion, the opposing jaw scan is not taken into account for calculating the virtual teeth.
Click Finish.
If teeth were extracted, the intraoral scan is altered and the model is updated.
Note
To display the original intraoral scan, click the Visibility smart panel. Select the altered intraoral scan, click More options … and select Original scan model. Alternatively, right-click the intraoral scan model in the workspace viewer, select IO scans and click Original scan model.
To adjust a virtual tooth, on the Adjust smart panel, use the Translation, Rotation or Scale options. Select Lock position during recalculation to keep the virtual tooth on this position when you click Recalculate virtual teeth and run MagicAssist again.
