You can create or import a settings file containing set preferences in DTX Studio Clinic or the patient module. This can be useful for exporting settings to a new installation, sharing your settings with other DTX Studio Clinic users, or making a backup.
Some settings cannot be exported because they are different on other workstations: possibly unique folder paths, hardware-specific settings (e.g. hardware-accelerated rendering), TWAIN devices and more.
The following data can be shared and imported:
Custom guided acquisition templates with a specific image acquisition order for the guided acquisition workflow of intraoral X-ray images (intraoral sensors or PSP devices). This template is saved on the workstation.

To export all settings to a file:
Open the Settings dialog.
Click Share settings.
Click Browse to set the export location.
Click Save.
Click Export.
To import all settings from a file:
Open the Settings dialog.
Click Share settings.
Click Browse to go to the location where the settings files (*.set) have been stored.
Click Open.
Click Import.
