Compare Dental Scans
Once a dental scan is added to the dental scan workspace, you can select another dental scan of the same patient to compare with.
To compare dental scans:
Click Dental scan in the menu bar.
Click Compare 
.
Select a dental scan to compare with.
Click Finish.
The changes are visualized in the dental scan workspace.
Note
Hover over a surface to show a tooltip containing the distance between both surfaces.
On the Viewer tab in the SmartPanel™, click the drop-down menu below Scan comparison to select a visualization:
Click Distance map to visualize the differences between the compared scans.
Click Overlay to align the two surfaces with each other.
Manage Scan Comparisons
All scan comparisons are listed below Scan comparison, in the SmartPanel™. They are sorted by acquisition date.
To switch between scan comparisons, click on another scan comparison in the list.
To hide the scan comparison visualization, turn off the switch next to Scan comparison, in the SmartPanel™.
To delete a scan comparison, click the ellipsis icon
behind an entry. Select Delete comparison.
To set a scan comparison's transparency, click the ellipsis iconbehind an entry. Use the Opacity slider to adjust the transparency.
