The multilayer pan consists of several 2D panoramic images that are captured in one scan.
Note
This type of scan can be acquired with the KaVo OP 3D Pro, consisting of five images in total.
These multilayer pans are shown grouped in the same viewer, but only one image is shown at a time. By default, the middle layer is shown. To inspect one of the other layers, use the scroll bar or the mouse wheel.
Note
For a multilayer pan captured with the OP 3D Pro, the layer ID is:
lingual layers: -6 mm, -3 mm
middle layer: 0 mm
buccal layers: +3 mm, +6 mm
Annotations are applied to a single image. Filters, level windows and other actions are applied to all images.
On the Layout tab of the smart panel the multilayer pan images are shown in one tile, displaying the number of stacked images.
Note
On the patient data tab of the patient record, the multilayer pan images are shown apart. In preview mode the layer ID of each image is shown. Click and select Delete to delete an image of the stack.
