Guided Capturing for Dental Sensors

If you selected an intraoral sensor or PSP device, you can choose to follow a template for guided capturing:

Select the Template tab and then select your preferred template type.

In the drop-down list on top of the images, select the layout you want to use.

Select the images you want to capture. By default, all images are selected. Selected images are highlighted in blue. Click a selected image again to deselect it. Select the images by clicking the images or drawing a rectangle around the images to include. To deselect all images, click Clear selection. When the correct images have been selected, click Start. To change the order in which the images will be captured, click Edit capture order edit order icon and click the placeholders in the correct order.

Note

A template can be shared with another DTX Studio™ Clinic user via the share settings.

Go to the device to perform the scan.

Notes

To skip an image in the template flow, click Skip. Click an empty placeholder of a skipped image to display the instructions and tooth chart of the skipped image. You can now capture the skipped image.

To recapture an image, hover over the preview image and click Capture again. The instructions and tooth chart for the clicked image are shown.

To rotate the captured image, click the rotate counter clockwise icon rotate left [Alt+arrow key left] or rotate clockwise icon rotate right [Alt+arrow key right]. To flip the captured image, click the flip horizontally flip horizontally [Alt+Shift+arrow left/arrow right] or the flip vertically icon flip vertically [Alt+Shift+arrow up/arrow down].

The tooth range information that is taken from the instructions is saved in the captured image, so that the images are loaded on the correct placeholders in the intraoral workspace.

Click Finish to end the action.
