Exporting Images

To export images or intraoral scan files of a patient record:

Select the patient record in the patients list patients icon.

Click More ellipsis.

In the Data section, click Export data export images.

By default, all images are selected. Select the images to export. This can be done by single-clicking the images or drawing a rectangle around the images to include.

Notes

Tiles with a blue border (the selected images) will be exported.

Click an image with a blue border to deselect it.

To select all / deselect all images, click Select all / Deselect all.

Click filter icon and choose one of the options to filter the images on acquisition date or image type.

Click grid view icon to view the image data in grid view. Click menu icon to view the image data in list view.

A DICOM set that was imported from another source than DTX Studio™ Clinic cannot be exported. The tile will be grayed out. Enter the file path in the Export directory field or click Browse to go to the location where to store the images and click Select folder.

Note

The set file path will be saved as the new default. The initial default location is the Documents folder.

Choose the image file format for the export:

2D image file format: PNG (8-bit), PNG (8-bit) auto-contrast,  PNG (16-bit), Tiff (8-bit), Tiff (16-bit), DICOM . The default option is PNG (16-bit).

3D DICOM format: Multi-frame DICOM (File) or Single-frame DICOM (Folder). The default option is Multi-frame DICOM.

Intraoral scan file format: PLY (Colored surface model), STL (Surface model) or NXA (DTX file format). The default option is PLY (Colored surface model). A new folder is created for each exported scan file format.

The Anonymize patient check box is selected by default, hiding the patient name, patient ID and date of birth.

The images are exported to the indicated location.
