Creating a case

Before scanning or designing a restoration, a case must be created in DTX Studio™ Lab. If you are requested to perform a scan, create a scan case. Requests to design and calculate TempShells (if not sent by a connection via DTX Studio™ Implant) can be imported.

Creating a restoration case

Click plus button in the upper-left corner and select Design restoration.

Fill in the correct case information.

Click Next to continue or Cancel to discard the wizard.

To assign a restoration on the tooth chart, you need to first decide whether the restoration you will be designing is a single or a multi-unit restoration. Proceed to the appropriate step.

A notes field (Enter your notes) is provided below the tooth chart. Write down any comments or clarifications you need to add. These notes are for internal use only.

To the right of the tooth chart, the restoration details list is shown, giving an overview of what is planned. For more information on this overview, please refer to the restoration details section.

When everything is filled out and assigned, click Finish.
