Select Y cut 
. The Maxillary Segmental Y cut Osteotomy wizard is opened. If a dental segmentation has been performed, the segmented teeth are visible in the 3D viewer.
Indicate two points to simulate the right osteotomy line. First click a point at the top of the maxilla. Then click the point on the buccal side of the alveolar process. A blue line simulating the cutting line connects the indicated points. If the cutting line is unsatisfactory, click Reindicate cutting line and start over.

The visualization of the model can be adjusted to your needs by using the different transfer functions. Click the appropriate tile in the right side bar to show for example the tooth roots.
Click Next.
Indicate two points to simulate the left osteotomy line. First click the point on the buccal side of the alveolar process. Then click a point at the top of the maxilla. A blue line simulating the cutting line links the indicated points. If the cutting line is unsatisfactory, click Reindicate cutting line and start over.
Click Next.
Check whether the osteotomy surface completely intersects the maxilla. If needed, adjust the surface by dragging the blue dots.
Click Next. The osteotomy is calculated.
Check the result of the virtual osteotomy. Check whether the segments are correctly identified.
Click Finish.
