The size, shape, and position of the existing teeth.
The type of tooth that needs to be designed. A canine will need to be shaped differently from, for example, a pre-molar.
The size and shape of the mirrored tooth.
A set of esthetic rules for teeth positioned in the front region.
Information on the antagonist tooth, when available.
