Zoom the 2D view

In 2D it is possible to zoom in two ways: using the zoom mode or by using the zoom box to focus on a specific area in the 2D view when zooming.

Tip

Press the Tab key on your keyboard to quickly return to the interaction mode when in zoom mode.

To zoom in on the data in the 2D scene:

1.       First do one of the following:

     Click Zoom  in the Tools toolbar.

     Select Zoom  from the Interaction pop-up menu. The mouse pointer changes into a double arrow.

2.     Click and drag the mouse up to zoom in. Alternatively, press the plus key [+] on your keyboard.

To zoom out of the data in the 2D scene:

1.       Click Zoom  in the Tools toolbar. Alternatively, select Zoom  from the Interaction pop-up menu. The mouse pointer changes into a double arrow.

2.     Click and drag the mouse down to zoom out. Alternatively, press the minus key [-] on your keyboard.

Zoom in on a specific area in a 2D scene

1.       Click Zoom Box  in the Tools toolbar. Alternatively, Select Zoom Box  from the Interaction pop-up menu. The mouse pointer changes.

2.     Click the view, hold the mouse button down and drag over the view. A red marquee indicates the selected zone to be magnified.

3.     Release the mouse button. The selected zone is displayed within the window at the highest possible magnification.
