The cross-sectional reslice has its default orientation at 0 degrees in the three directions but you can change the tilting. This functionality allows the user to look in detail from the desired angle.
Mesio-distal tilting means the way the perpendicular and parallel reslices tilt in the mesio-distal direction around the reslice curve.
To tilt the reslice in the mesio-distal directions:
1. Select the reslice.
2. Click Mesio-Distal tilting in the Position group of the dedicated Cross-sectional tab.
3. A slider appears. Drag it to the left or right to tilt the cross-sectional reslice.
Alternatively:
1. Right-click the reslice.
2. Do one of the following:
— Select Mesio-distal Tilting from the shortcut menu. Use the slider to set the appropriate value.
— Select Property Panel and click Rotation. Enter a value in the Mesio-distal tilting box or use the slider to rotate the reslice.
3. Click Close to confirm.
1. No mesio-distal tilting of the cross-sectional reslice
2. Mesio-distal tilting of the cross-sectional reslice
Note
When the reslice is in implant mode, only rotation will be possible. The tilting actions will be disabled. To enable tilting, return to curve mode.
