Explaining the reslice curve action

The Adjust Reslice Curve action provides a way to adjust the reslice curve to make sure the cross-sectional reslice is positioned perpendicular to the bone. It is possible to add an extra point in between the already present points, to add an end point, to remove selected points, or to completely re-indicate the curve.

Add a point or an end point

To add points in between the existing indicative points or end points to finish off the curve:

1.       Click Insert a Point Insert-point_16x16.png or Add an End Point Add-end-point_16x16.png in the Panoramic Curve Actions group in the Panoramic wizard.

2.     Click the reslice view to position a new point.

3.     A red dot and a connecting green line are drawn.

Remove a point

To remove a point:

1.       Select a point. This point is marked with a yellow border.

2.     Click Remove Selected Point Remove-selected-point_16x16.png in the Panoramic Curves Actions group.

3.     The selected point is removed and the curve is adjusted accordingly.

Note

Removing points will not be possible in the case of control points

Re-indicate the curve

If the automatically generated panoramic curve is unsatisfactory, performing the Re-indicate Curve action is necessary.

1.       Click Re-indicate Curve Reindicate-curve_16x16.png in the Panoramic Curve Actions group.

2.     The red dots indicating the flow of the curve all disappear.

3.     Indicate the new curve point by point. On-screen feedback on how the curve will be drawn is provided.

Note

It is crucial that the curve is indicated in the correct direction, meaning from the patient’s right side to the left. This means that the dots have to be placed left to right on the screen.

4.     Right-click in the scene or press [Enter] to finish.
