To start drawing a nerve, the viewer must be in interaction mode.
1. Click Nerve in the Annotation group on the Diagnose tab.
2. The Nerve wizard is opened.
3. If necessary, adjust the nerve reslice to get the best possible view of the alveolar channel.
4. Click on the nerve reslice or the perpendicular reslice to indicate the construction points of the nerve.
5. Right-click to stop adding points.
6. Minor adjustments can be made by clicking the points and dragging them to a better location.
7. Click Finish.
The spheres are connected with a tube-like line, indicating the nerve.
To add another nerve, choose Add New Nerve in the Nerve Actions group. Start indicating the points of the new nerve. A new nerve is automatically added to the nerve and becomes selected.
Tip
— If it is difficult to view the nerve canal, adjust the shape of the nerve reslice. This U-shape is not linked with, or related to, the shape of the reslice curve.
— Toggle the visibility of the cross-sectional reslice and the nerve reslice in the 3D viewer using the Show Slice toggle icons.
