The cross-sectional reslice has its default orientation at 0 degrees in the three directions but the tilting can be changed. This functionality allows the user to look at every detail from the desired angle.
Bucco-lingual tilting means that the cross-sectional reslice rotates around an axis tangential to the reslice curve in the curve plane.
To tilt the reslice in the bucco-lingual direction:
1. Select the reslice.
2. Click Bucco-Lingual Tilting in the Position group of the dedicated Cross-sectional tab.
3. Do one of the following:
— Drag the slider that appears to the left or right.
— Enter a value in the Bucco-lingual tilting box and press Enter.
Alternatively:
1. Right-click the reslice.
2. Select Property Panel and click Rotation. Do one of the following:
— Enter a value in the Bucco-lingual tilting box.
— Use the slider to rotate the reslice.
3. Click Close to confirm.
1. No bucco-lingual tilting
2. Bucco-lingual tilting
Note
When the reslice is snapped to an object, only rotation will be possible. The tilting actions will be disabled. To enable tilting again, attach the reslice to the curve.
