The marker threshold value settings can be altered via the Marker threshold settings pane. Enter this pane via the Adjust marker thresholds option or select the Settings button.
The marker candidates in the volume of interest have a gray value equal to or higher than the indicated value.
The marker candidates with an NSI (Normalized Shape Index) value lower than, or equal to 1.1 are accepted as marker. This threshold requires the markers to be almost spherical. A sphere has the value 1. If the markers are considered ‘bad markers’ (colored red), the markers are not spherical enough. Raise the NSI threshold to a maximum of 1.3 to accept the candidates as markers.
A marker candidate needs to have a volume equal or larger than the indicated value in mm3. If the markers are very small, lower this threshold to a minimum of 0.1 mm3.
