Set default DICOM location

To set the default location from which DTX Studio™ Implant will source available DICOM files, directly enter the path name. Alternatively, click Browse to find the appropriate location, and click Select Folder. Click OK to close the Preferences dialog.

Note

This is the default DICOM location for DICOM files that were not processed by the TeamPorter. Scan items created by the TeamPorter are stored in the team folder in the subfolder Scans (see below).

Set folder for archiving patients

By default, archived patients are stored in the following location: c:\DTX Studio\Implant\Archive

To change the default location for storing archived patients:

     enter the path directly in the Default archive location box.

     click Browse following the Default archive location box and search for the correct location.

Should you enter a path to a non-existent folder, the folder will be created automatically.

Note

     The settings for archiving patients are user-based. This means that different users will not be able to see each other's archived patients when they set different archive folders.

     If the Team folder settings for archiving have been checked, an Archive subfolder will be created in the team folder and used for archiving patients.

Set team folder

By default, the path to the team folder that was set up during installation is shown. To change this folder:

1.       Make sure the Office module is open, otherwise the action will be disabled.

2.     Click Configure folder and browse to the correct location. The team folder should be accessible by all practice members.

3.     Click Select folder.

4.     Click Save.

Note

If the folder is inaccessible, does not exist or could not be updated on the server, an error message is shown.

Important: Mac / Windows

If there are Mac and Windows users in your practice, the team folder has to be set once on a Mac computer for all Mac users and once on a Windows computer for all Windows users.

Patient records and scan items created by the TeamPorter are stored in the team folder in the Patients and Scans subfolders. Archived patients are saved in the Archive subfolder of the team folder.

Note

Privately stored patients are stored in your 'Working folder' that was configured during installation. This folder cannot be changed in the preferences.
