Start a New Treatment

A treatment can include different planning scenarios for one patient. One patient can have different treatment plans (e.g. upper jaw and lower jaw treatment). When a new patient file is created, a new treatment will be started automatically.

To start a new treatment for an existing patient:

Make sure the patient file has been opened.

Choose the DTX Studio Implant tab in the toolbar and select New.

Select New Treatment from the cascading menu.

The workspace is cleared and the wizard is started. This allows you to select a patient scan.

Start a New Treatment via the Treatment Plan Overview Window

The Treatment Plan Overview dialog is only shown when the opened patient file includes more than one planning scenario or treatment. If only one planning scenario or treatment is available, the patient file is opened without showing the Treatment Plan overview dialog. In that case use the procedure mentioned before to add a treatment to the patient file.

Open the patient file and click 3D planning to go to the Planning module.

The Treatment Plan Overview window is displayed.

Click Add New Treatment .

The workspace is cleared and the wizard is started to select a patient scan.
