The cross-sectional reslice has its default orientation at 0 degrees in the three directions but you can change the tilting. This functionality allows the user to look in detail from the desired angle.
Mesio-distal tilting means the way the perpendicular and parallel reslices tilt in the mesio-distal direction around the reslice curve.
To tilt the reslice in the mesio-distal directions:
Select the reslice.
Click Mesio-Distal tilting in the Position group of the dedicated Cross-sectional tab.
A slider appears. Drag it to the left or right to tilt the cross-sectional reslice.
Alternatively:
Right-click the reslice.
Do one of the following:
Select Mesio-distal Tilting from the shortcut menu. Use the slider to set the appropriate value.
Select Property Panel and click Rotation. Enter a value in the Mesio-distal tilting box or use the slider to rotate the reslice.
Click Close to confirm.
Note
When the reslice is in implant mode, only rotation will be possible. The tilting actions will be disabled. To enable tilting, return to curve mode.
