To remove the medical record of a patient file which is stored on the local computer:
Click one of the Patients group items on the My Office menu bar to filter the list of patients. Choose between:
All Patients
My Patients
Stored Locally
In the filtered patient list, select a patient which is marked with a Stored Locally icon.
Click Delete in the Medical Record group on the toolbar.
A dialog shows up, requesting your confirmation for the deletion. Choose Delete Patient to remove the file (and all related online communication items such as Viewers, Communicator presentations and OsseoCare™ Pro surgical plans) or Cancel to keep the patient.
The patient file is removed.
To remove the medical record of a patient file which is stored privately on your computer or on a network folder at the practice:
Click one of the Patients group items on the My Office menu bar to filter the list of patients. Choose between:
All Patients
My Patients
Shared with Practice
Stored Privately
In the filtered patient list, select a patient which is marked with a Stored Privately icon or Shared with Practice icon

Click Delete in the Medical Record group on the toolbar.
A dialog shows up, requesting your confirmation for the deletion. Choose Delete Patient to remove the file (and all related online communication items such as Viewers, Communicator presentations and OsseoCare™ Pro surgical plans) or Cancel to keep the patient.
The patient file is removed.
Note
To remove the medical record of a patient which is stored online on NobelConnect®, the patient file first has to be removed online (see: Stop storing patient online). A copy of the patient file will be stored 'privately' (in a Practice setup) or 'locally'
(in a Single user setup). The patient file can be deleted.
Deleting an online patient file, however, will be impossible if the patient has been created with a newer version of the software than the one available on your PC.
