DEXIS intraoral sensors drivers are installed via the DEXIS Software Manager, which is now integrated with the DTX Studio Clinic installer (version 4.3.20 and above).
When a sensor is plugged into the PC that does not yet have the DEXIS intraoral sensor driver installed, a notification will appear at the top of the patient list. This notification will inform you that to continue using the DEXIS sensor, you need to install the driver through the DEXIS Software Manager. To do this, click Install DEXIS Software Manager. Once the installation is complete, the DEXIS sensor will be available again for image capturing.
To disable communication with USB image sensor devices:
In DTX Studio Home click Menu.
Click Settings.
Click Devices.
By default, USB image sensor support is selected. Clear this check box to disable sensor support. Disabling sensor support will block communication with the USB image sensors.
To add a TWAIN-supported device to DTX Studio Clinic for Windows, make sure that the third-party TWAIN software is installed. Otherwise, you will not be able to add the TWAIN device.
In DTX Studio Home click Menu.
Click Settings.
Click Devices.
Click Add.
Select the TWAIN device.
Configure the device settings.
Click Add.
To add images from third-party camera devices or third-party (CB)CT devices, set up a direct folder in which new images will be detected. Add them with the Capture action.
Prepare your camera device settings:
If possible, set up your third-party camera device, (CB)CT device or wireless SD card to store images in a specific folder.
If the images are stored on a standard SD card, insert it and take note of the assigned drive letter.
In DTX Studio Home click Menu.
Click Settings.
Click Devices.
Click Add.
Select the third-party device and click Select.
Click Browse to select the camera device folder and click Select folder.
Enter a specific name.
Change the modality and folder properties, if needed.
