Tools Preferences

Spotlight Mode

To set the default behavior of the Spotlight tool, select the Spotlight mode:

Magnifying glass: To magnify a specific image area.

Image filter glass (default): To apply a filter to a specific image area.

Instruction Messages

By default, instructions (such as tooltips) are shown on each workspace.

To show or hide them, select or clear Show help messages and instructions.

Focus Area Visibility

Not all detected focus area types may be relevant for you. To set which focus areas will be shown by default on the images, deselect the types of focus areas that should not be displayed on the images. To change the color of a specific focus area type, click on the colored square and select a new color.

Although the default visibility of focus areas can be set to hidden, all focus areas are detected, hence an indication of the total number of detected focus areas is shown on the images. The hidden focus areas are listed on the Visibility smart panel.

Select Use tooth positions to improve focus area detection to reduce the number of false positives.

Feature availability may vary based on your license type and active module subscriptions.
